The Learning and Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in sourcing, designing, delivering, evaluating, and continuously improving learning and talent development initiatives to support Telecel Ghana’s strategic objectives. This position ensures high-quality, engaging, and scalable learning experiences that align with current business needs and future growth. The specialist acts as a trusted advisor to business leaders and HRBPs, driving leadership development, talent capability, and organizational effectiveness through evidence-based interventions. By managing training logistics, leveraging the Coursera LMS, and leading onboarding programs, the role ensures seamless integration, knowledge retention, and measurable impact across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and adapt to diverse learning styles, delivering engaging, interactive, and motivational training to maximize learning retention and application.
- Align and integrate talent development initiatives with Telecel Ghana’s strategic goals and leadership priorities.
- Provide expert leadership development consultancy to business stakeholders and HRBPs, fostering ownership of talent and leadership development.
- Manage training logistics including venues, equipment, materials, guest speakers, and external facilitators to ensure smooth program execution.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of talent and development interventions against agreed business outcomes and KPIs.
- Partner with business leaders as a trusted advisor to diagnose capability gaps and translate business challenges into targeted learning solutions.
- Facilitate internal training programs and lead onboarding and integration initiatives for new and acquired employees to accelerate productivity and cultural alignment.
- Own the Coursera Learning Management System (LMS), including structural design standards, content curation, and ensuring quality, accessibility, and scalability.
Requirements
Requirements:
- First degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., HR, Education, Organizational Development).
- Proven ability to diagnose business problems, identify capability gaps, and recommend learning or process solutions aligned with business outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, curating, and delivering high-impact training content.
- Hands-on experience with LMS platforms and training management tools.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a track record of engaging diverse audiences.
- Ability to assess training needs and measure learning impact using data-driven approaches.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and a passion for continuous learning and development.
- Preferred: Experience in telecommunications or technology-driven organizations; knowledge of Oracle ERP or other HRIS systems; professional certifications such as CIPD, CHRMP, or HRCI.
