Relationship Officer
Job summary
The Relationship Officer will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and ensuring that their financial needs are effectively met.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers while identifying opportunities for business growth and resolving customer complaints.
- Promote and sell the company’s products and services with the aim of attracting low-cost deposits from various customer segments, including sourcing current and savings accounts.
- Prospect for new customers through existing leads, referrals, and other channels to maximize lead generation.
- Prepare loan applications, evaluate customers’ financial information and credit reports, and calculate risk ratios.
- Perform any other duties assigned that are relevant to the role.
Qualification Required & Experience
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Accounting, Banking and Finance, or a related field.
- A professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience in a financial institution.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Excellent knowledge of loan application procedures and best lending practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Good planning, quantitative, and analytical skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and fairness.
- Strong computer literacy with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good knowledge of banking laws, rules, and regulations.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical ability.
- Ability to exercise sound independent judgment.
