Role Description The Head Teacher is a full-time. The Head Teacher will provide overall academic and operational leadership, ensuring that teaching and learning align with the school’s vision, mission, and blended curricula. Daily responsibilities include overseeing lesson planning and classroom instruction, mentoring and supporting teachers, monitoring student progress, and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment. The Head Teacher will collaborate with families and staff, lead staff meetings and professional development, and ensure compliance with relevant educational standards and policies. The role also involves contributing to school improvement planning, promoting positive behavior, and upholding the school’s values in all aspects of school life.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in Education and Pedagogy, with proven classroom and early years teaching experience.
  • Curriculum Development skills, including experience designing, implementing, and evaluating early childhood curricula.
  • Educational Leadership capabilities, such as team management, staff mentoring, and school-wide planning.
  • Excellent Communication skills for engaging with children, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Relevant teaching qualification and/or degree in Education or a related field; leadership or management training is an asset.
  • Experience with Montessori, EYFS, or similar child-centered frameworks is highly beneficial.
  • Experience with International Curricula like OIC, Cambridge, Pearson, IB will be preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, values-based education and a safe, nurturing learning environment.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and proactively.
