Hairstyling Educator

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and practical lessons in hairstyling techniques, including cutting, braiding, styling, hair treatments, and scalp care.
• Support students’ learning through interactive theory sessions, practical demonstrations, and guided practice.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with BTI Ghana’s curriculum and international standards.
• Supervise and assess student performance during practical sessions, assignments, and mock examinations.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning, discipline, and creativity.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
• Participate in curriculum reviews, institutional activities, and continuous professional development programs.
• Contribute to the professional image of BTI Ghana through mentorship, career guidance, and participation in industry-related events.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Hairstyling, Cosmetology, or related discipline from a recognized institution.

Proven specialization in the following areas:

• Hair and Scalp Treatment
• Hair Colouring
• Chemical Hair Reformation (Relaxing, Perming, etc.)
• Hair Cutting and Heat Styling
• Dreadlocks and Braiding
• Hair Extensions and Bridal Styling
• Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching or professional hairstyling experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills.
• Passionate about student development, learning, and excellence in the beauty industry.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to work in a dynamic academic environment.
