Job summary
We are looking for English Language and Literature Teachers. Ability to teach other subjects a plus. We are recruiting a full-time English Language & Literature Teacher who is passionate about developing students' communication, critical thinking, reading, and writing skills. While the primary teaching assignment will be at the Upper Primary and Secondary levels, the successful candidate should be willing to teach Primary School classes when required by the school's academic needs.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons aligned with the school curriculum and academic standards.
- Teach English Language and Literature to students in Upper Primary and Secondary School.
- Teach Primary School English classes when assigned.
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, and analytical skills.
- Teach a range of literary texts, encouraging critical thinking and an appreciation of literature.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to support students with different learning needs.
- Prepare and administer assignments, quizzes, tests, and examinations.
- Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Monitor student progress and provide additional academic support where necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date academic records.
- Create a positive, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress when required.
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- A university degree in English, English Language, English Literature, Linguistics, or a closely related field.
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
- Experience teaching Upper Primary and/or Secondary School students.
- Flexibility and willingness to teach Primary School classes when required.
- The ability to prepare students for internal and external examinations.
- A recognised teaching qualification is an advantage.
- Cambridge curriculum experience is highly desirable.
