Responsibilities
- The officer shall work support to the mission, goals, and objectives of the department.
- Coordinates all administrative tasks in regard to student housing and policies.
- Collect and deliver student success stories via social media, video, web content, newsletters or profile stories.
- Encourage and support students’ activities and events that benefit the student community and align with the University College’s mission.
- Create a formal recognition and award program for students who excel in career services activities.
- Research career topics, draft content and deliver presentations to diverse student audiences; promote services and successes of Career Services via public presentations.
- Oversee community services and volunteerism activities on campus from selection, execution, monitoring and evaluation.
- Plan and implement job fairs and on-campus recruiting events.
- Publicize information on internships, summer jobs, and local part-time jobs to students.
- Assists students with job search, career information and utilizing office resources.
- Responsible for coordinating student life activities and reporting to the Student Life & Career Services Coordinator.
Qualifications
- At least a Bachelor's degree in a discipline directly related to psychology, career development and planning, student counseling, student affairs or a similar field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
