Sonographer

Responsibilities:

• Report to work at 8:00am each day from Monday to Saturday and close at 5:00pm except Saturday when you close at 3:00pm
• Disinfect the work tops and clean any areas that may need cleaning
• Prepare the materials for the work of the day
• Ensure clients receive your services in an orderly manner
• Ensure the privacy of clients is maintained
• Run investigations on clients that have been registered for sonography
• Compose reports, validate all scan results, sign and release them to the front desk for dispatch
• Cover the scan machine with an appropriate material at the end of the day's work to prevent the menace of dust
• Unplug the scan machine after the day's work to prevent damage due to lightning strikes during thunder storms
• Compile list of supplies needed as they run out and submit to the manager for restocking
• Ensure the maintenance schedule of the equipment under your care are adhered to
• Report any adverse events to the manager or the CEO for redress
• Carry out any other official responsibilities that may be assigned to you by the CEO

Qualifications:

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience .

Skills:

• Proficient in the operation of ultrasound equipment.
• Strong understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
