Senior Technical Project Manager, Health Sciences

Responsibilities: 

• Provide management oversight to multiple projects concurrently involving quantitative analyses and qualitative evaluations reported in toxicological studies
• Ensure ultimate success of projects, including quality and client satisfaction, and that all contractual and financial requirements are met
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, communicating with clients regularly regarding project status, technical issues, deliverables, and follow-on work
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
• Continually assess and improve the efficiency and quality of project work through design and implementation of processes and tools in support of the project team’s efforts
• Participate in supervising, mentoring, and developing junior- to mid-level staff
• Oversee the completion and accuracy of budgets, work plans, invoices, and other contract-related tasks

Basic Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in public health, toxicology, pharmacology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related subject with focus on human health exposure, hazard, and risk assessment
• Minimum 20 years of professional experience working in human-health related consulting services or research
• Experience with government programs (preferably CDC, ATSDR, U.S. EPA or NIEHS)
• Experience with project management and staff leadership
• Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute technical approaches to solving scientific questions
