Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager and Team Lead to oversee day-to-day operations for DEV and CodeNewbie – two popular online communities for software developers under the Forem technology umbrella. As a senior manager, you will drive the strategy and implementation of programs that we implement to grow, engage, and support our communities. These initiatives may range from sponsored campaigns to in-house activations to community moderation. If you are someone who loves project management, content creation, building communities, and maintaining relationships, this role is for you. You will direct the Community Team and initially oversee approximately five direct reports. As a small organization, we value someone willing to influence in a variety of ways, including a willingness to take on some projects personally as needed and wear different hats from time to time. This position reports directly to the CEO. The starting salary range for this role is $110,000 - $125,000 plus equity and is not location-based.

In this role, you will guide a team responsible for:
Serving the DEV and CodeNewbie communities by ensuring their continued growth and health
Implementing all platform contests (i.e. Hackathons) and community initiatives (i.e. Holiday Celebrations)
Ensuring we are delivering consistent and exceptional community support across user reports, email inquiries, and on-platform questions/concerns.
Overseeing our relationship with moderators, volunteers, and sponsors.
Overseeing a team spanning different functions (social media, community support, eCommerce, and potentially more)
Measuring, reporting, and maximizing general community growth and engagement as well as the outcomes of specific campaigns
Deep understanding and upholding our community brand, voice, and values both internally and externally
Ensuring all community content is published on schedule (you may serve as the author of the content itself when appropriate)

Several years of project management experience with demonstrable experience in soliciting feedback and keeping stakeholders informed
Excellent communicator both verbally and in writing
Clear and compelling writing
Detail-orientation and organization
Leadership and management experience
Delegate and maximize the potential in others
Proactively handle changes in project scope and devise contingency plans
Professional management of unexpected communication difficulties
Conference production experience is a plus
A capacity for data-informed choices
A capacity to interact empathetically with your fellow team members and the members of our online communities
