Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Accra for a Search Engine Optimization Specialist. The specialist will be responsible for conducting keyword research, performing regular SEO audits, and optimizing website content and structure for search engines. Daily tasks include managing on-page SEO elements, monitoring web analytics, and developing link-building strategies to improve domain authority and search visibility. The role involves collaborating with content, design, and marketing teams to align SEO initiatives with campaign goals, preparing performance reports, and recommending data-driven improvements. The specialist is expected to stay updated on SEO best practices, search engine algorithm changes, and emerging tools to enhance organic growth.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform comprehensive keyword research and analyze search intent using SEO tools.
- Experience conducting detailed SEO audits and implementing technical and content-related recommendations.
- Skills in developing and executing ethical link-building strategies to improve rankings and authority.
- Proficiency in web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console) and interpreting SEO performance metrics.
- Strong on-page SEO skills, including meta tags, headings, internal linking, and content optimization.
- Relevant experience in digital marketing or SEO; prior work with agencies or multiple brands is an advantage.
- Comfort working with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and basic HTML/CSS understanding is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
