Job Summary

The primary role of the Sales and Business Development Officer is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising, and any other means of generating interest from potential clients.

  • Minimum Qualification: HND
  • Experience Level: Mid level
  • Experience Length: 2 years

Job Description/Requirements


  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make sales
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person, via telephone calls and emails
  • Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business, responding to incoming emails and phone enquiries
  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
  • Must plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company
  • Must develop rapport with new clients, and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship
  • Strategic planning is a key part of the job. This person is responsible to develop the pipeline of new business coming in to the company
  • Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately
  • Manage the company’s social networks

Qualification and Requirements

  • Must Drive with a valid Driver’s License
  • A minimum of HND
  • At least 2-5 years experience
  • Good Marketing and Sales Skills
  • Aggressive and result oriented.
  • Must be able to achieve sales target
  • Good command of English
  • Knowledge of sales in the cleaning industry will be an advantage
