Risk and Compliance Officer
Job summary
The Risk and Compliance Officer will be responsible for identifying, monitoring, and managing risks, and ensuring that the Bank complies with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Identify, assess, monitor, and report financial, operational, and compliance risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure all bank operations comply with Bank of Ghana regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
- Monitor staff activities, detect irregularities, and prepare compliance reports for management.
- Implement and enforce AML/CFT policies, including KYC/CDD procedures.
- Monitor customer transactions and report suspicious activities to the Financial Intelligence Centre.
- Educate staff on risk management, compliance, AML, and ethical banking practices.
- Prepare periodic risk and compliance reports and maintain proper records
- Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in Risk, Compliance, or Banking Operations.
- Knowledge of Bank of Ghana regulations, AML, and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
