Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct physical and chemical tests on crude oil, petroleum products, and related samples.
- Follow ASTM, ISO, API, and internal test methods and procedures.
- Prepare samples for analysis and ensure proper labeling and handling.
- Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Record test results accurately and assist in preparing laboratory reports.
- Ensure compliance with quality control and quality assurance procedures.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and safe working practices in the laboratory.
- Report any equipment malfunction, deviations, or non-conformities to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related scientific field.
- Experience in a petroleum or industrial laboratory is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory testing methods and equipment.
- Ability to follow procedures with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
