Inspector
Job summary
To carry out inspection, sampling, and testing activities on oil, gas, and petroleum products to ensure compliance with client requirements and international standards.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Perform field inspections of crude oil, petroleum products, and chemicals at terminals, vessels, tanks, and refineries.
- Conduct sampling, gauging, and quantity measurements during loading and discharge operations.
- Verify cargo quality and quantity in line with ASTM, API, ISO, and company procedures.
- Prepare clear and accurate inspection reports and certificates.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies and safe working practices.
- Coordinate with clients, terminals, vessel crews, and internal teams during operations.
- Handle and maintain inspection equipment properly.
- Diploma or degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of oil & gas inspection or laboratory/testing work.
- Familiarity with ASTM/API standards is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and reporting accuracy.
- Ability to work in field and industrial environments.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Field-based role (terminals, vessels, refineries).
- May involve shift work, overtime, and outdoor/industrial exposure.
