A reputable environmental non-governmental organization (NGO) in Ghana is looking for a multi-skilled candidate with a sound background for the position of Project Coordinator. The Project coordinator will coordinate project activities within the organization including scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing tasks conducting; field and scientific studies; working with communities, government/public officials, private and civil society actors and also overseeing field budget. He or she will also develop and support funding proposals.

Job Description
- Develops and implements programs to ensure ecological protection and human welfare, especially for local communities.
- Supports the development of programs that offer additional livelihoods to local communities.
- Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
- Conducts projects and prepares studies and reports.
- Develops concept notes and funding proposals.
- Provides training to field staff members to implement projects.
- Develops and maintains partnerships with national and international institutions.
- Performs any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualification and Requirements
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Management, Geography, Environmental Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree with specialized experience in environmental sciences, environmental economics/management, environment and natural resources in similar organization/s, could be an advantage.
- Females are particularly encouraged to apply.
- Working knowledge of initiatives on Marine and Coastal Ecosystems, Climate Change, Community Livelihoods, Stakeholder Engagement and Management would also be an advantage.
- Technical competencies - innovative, analytical skills. excellent management, leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and computer skills.
