Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Products:

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap.
  • Manage the product throughout its lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.
  • Collect, manage and maintain traceability of requirements from all stakeholders across product releases.
  • Write the business case for investments and gain internal approval.
  • Propose a product marketing plan and budget and then deliver against it.
  • Write Product Requirements and Market Requirements documents.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and third parties to assess and establish partnerships
  • Be the recognized expert in the business on the product, the market, relevant technology and the competition.
  • Develop core positioning and messaging for the product.
  • Perform product demos to customers and develop relationships in key clients (if B2B).
  • Set pricing.
  • Monitor, report and improve product performance.
  • Run trials, develop and deliver go to market launch plans
  • Channel management and support.
  • Commission market and competitor research.
  • Promote the product to sales teams through sales training sessions, webinars, newsletters and other mechanisms.
  • Manage development and marketing projects to deliver to plan.
  • Collate feedback from sales and customers.
  • Represent the voice of the customer in senior level management meetings.
  • Evangelize the product internally and externally.
  • Deliver a regular (e.g. monthly) volume, revenue and profit forecasts


Projects

  • Defining project objectives, project scope, roles & responsibilities.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget.
  • Lead the initiation and planning of a project and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Defining resource requirements and managing resource availability & allocation – both internal and third party.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to schedule key project milestones, workstreams & activities as well as track the progress of the project.
  • Outlining a budget based on requirements and tracking costs to deliver project on budget.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties for the flawless execution of projects
  • Managing and adjusting for any changes in project scope, schedule and / or budget.
  • Managing the relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction.
  • Tracking project and providing regular reports on project status to project team and key stakeholders.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate project management tools
  • Perform risk management analysis to mitigate project risks
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive project documentation.

Qualifications: 

  • Tertiary or Masters qualification in Commerce, Project Management or a similar discipline.
  • At least 3years experience in either Business Management or Project Management in the Financial technology and payment


Specific Knowledge & Requirements:

  • Knowledge of best practices and industry trends within the financial technology and Payment industry.
