Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily kitchen operations and staff
  • Prepare and supervise both local dishes (e.g. jollof, fried rice, waakye) and continental meals (burgers, wraps, grilled items)
  • Maintain food quality, taste consistency, and presentation
  • Control stock, reduce waste, and manage food costs
  • Enforce strict hygiene and food safety standards
  • Train and supervise kitchen assistants
  • Plan prep schedules and kitchen workflow


Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Chef or Kitchen Supervisor
  • Strong experience in both local and continental cuisine
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment


Preferred

  • Catering/culinary certification
  • Experience in a fast-food or restaurant environment
