HSE Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct QHSE training, Toolbox Talks, and emergency drills to promote safe work practices.
• Enforce and monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards on site.
• Carry out regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure safe working conditions.
• Ensure tools, equipment, scaffolds, and work-at-height activities meet safety requirements.
• Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and hazards, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with site safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain QHSE records, submit reports, and attend QHSE meetings as required.
• Perform other duties in support of QHSE objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma, HND, or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.
• Professional HSE certification is an advantage.
• Minimum 3+years’ experience in an HSE role, preferably within a construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety practices, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
