Job Description/Requirements
Experience and Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in history.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a teaching role in GES, and/or Cambridge.
- Create and implement practical learning activities, projects, and simulations that allow students to engage actively with the historical concepts being taught.
- These activities may include debates, role-playing, historical reenactments, and museum visits.
- Utilize primary sources, such as historical documents, artifacts, oral histories, and multimedia materials, to provide students with firsthand exposure to historical evidence and diverse perspectives.
- Integrate current events and contemporary issues related to Africa into the lessons. Help students understand the relevance of historical events to
- present-day situations, fostering a deeper appreciation for the impact of history
- on the modern world.
- Encourage critical thinking and analytical skills by guiding students in analyzing historical evidence, questioning prevailing narratives, and examining the complexities of historical events.
