Role Description / Responsibilities

This is a full-time on-site role for a Heavy-Duty Auto Electrician. Candidates must possess skills in the repair and maintenance of Heavy-duty trucks and standard and specialized trailers and will be required to undertake:

1. Diagnosing electrical faults and issues.

2. Repairing and replacing electrical components (e.g., batteries, starters, alternators, solenoids, fuses, ECU, circuits)

3. Installing new electrical systems and accessories (complete wiring looms, circuit units etc.)

4. Conducting routine maintenance and inspections

5. Troubleshooting complex electrical problems – online and offline.

6. Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics

7. Staying up-to-date with new technologies and techniques

8. Ensuring safety protocols and industry standards are met

9. Communicating with user departments and management to explain repairs and maintenance needs.

Skills / Competencies / Qualifications

Applicants must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail and knowledge of electrical principles and vehicle and trailer systems.

Candidates must have a minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in auto electrical and electronic engineering with not less than three (3) years practical experience.
