Overview
A Senior Graphic Designer (SD) is a lead Graphic Designer who has demonstrated excellent creative skills in graphic design, motion graphics & production with leadership skills, a profound understanding of design and the creative industry as a whole. Our ideal candidate, in addition to working towards mastering design, has a greater understanding of the end goal with regards to brands and client expectations. An SD is responsible for creating original creatives for our brands and leading Junior Graphic Designers to ensure maximum quality work under the supervision of an Art Director and a Creative Director. Senior Designers will typically have their own brands with support of a JD, under supervision of the Art & Creative Director.
Responsibilities

• Develop and execute creative content for brands
• Participate in ideation and concepts with Content Creators and Copywriters
• Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience for brands
• Maintain a strong eye for visual composition
• Demonstrate effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Give and receive constructive criticism
• Play lead for brands by making sure the overall creative output is in line with the agreed brand guidelines
• Work towards mastering all aspects of design including branding, typography, motion graphics, animation and production
• Design and creative support for the Social Ghana brand
  

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in an Art/Design/Communications or similar
• Agency experience as a Creative/Graphic Designer
• High level of creativity and vision
• Proficiency with design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent graphic design skills with a supporting portfolio
• High level of accountability and motivation
• Strong interpersonal, time & project management, presentation, leadership, and communication skills
• Good receptiveness to feedback/adaptability
• Strong understanding of the client and business side of an agency
• Desire to want to learn and grow technically
• The ability to work with minimal supervision
