Experienced Math Teacher

Key Responsibilities

Instruction and Lesson Delivery

• Plan and deliver mathematics lessons in accordance with the school curriculum and academic standards.
• Explain mathematical concepts clearly and guide students through logical problem-solving processes.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies to support students with different learning abilities.
• Encourage students to develop confidence and interest in mathematics.

Assessment and Monitoring

• Prepare and administer quizzes, tests, assignments, and examinations.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support improvement.
• Monitor student progress and provide additional support where necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student academic performance.

Classroom Management

• Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and organized classroom environment.
• Encourage active participation and engagement during lessons.
• Manage classroom discipline in accordance with school policies.

Student Support and Development

• Provide extra academic support to students who require assistance.
• Encourage critical thinking and independent learning.
• Support students in preparing for internal and external examinations.

Professional Responsibilities

• Attend staff meetings and participate in school activities and professional development sessions.
• Collaborate with other teachers to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress when necessary.

Qualifications

• A university degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field is required.
• A teaching qualification is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of mathematics and analytical thinking.
• Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary: GHS1,800 - GHS2,100
