Job summary

The Youth Engagement & Learning Associate will play a critical role in supporting the transition of young Ghanaians—particularly women—into meaningful employment opportunities through targeted pre-employment interventions that enhance their job readiness and employability. The role involves identifying and profiling suitable candidates for entry-level roles, delivering and coordinating training activities, and ensuring participants are equipped with the practical skills, competencies, and confidence required to succeed in the workplace. The Associate will also leverage digital tools and platforms to design, deliver, and monitor learning experiences, making strong digital fluency essential. This includes supporting virtual training sessions, guiding participants in the use of online resources, and tracking learning progress and outcomes. Overall, the role requires a dynamic individual with strong facilitation, coordination, and digital engagement skills, as well as a passion for youth development and employment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Overall Project Management and Compliance

  • Implement programs focusing on Learning and Development, ideation, and implementation of best-in-class pedagogical approaches to soft skills training.
  • Plan and coordinate 'Train the Trainer' sessions, instructional design, and LMS coordination to reach all learner segments, across regions and including Blue-collar segments.
  • Establish a proper monitoring and evaluation system for tracking the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Engage public and private stakeholders to build working relationships.
  • Participate in the facilitation of soft skills training sessions- both online and offline.
  • Support CV review activities and provide post-employment support.
  • Provide technical inputs during the planning, organizing, and coordination of project monitoring processes, assessments, surveys, research, and evaluations.
  • Actively scout for job vacancies with partner companies / employers, especially entry level roles for youth participants of the program. (Comes with monthly targets)
  • Match job roles with available candidates on the program (job placement) - Key deliverable tied to targets.
  • Scout externally for suitable candidates to fill available roles where there are no fits within the HAPPY database.
  • Able to identify and highlight key success stories to promote impact
  • Support the team in achieving the overall goals and objectives of the youth engagement component of Jobberman.
  • Develop and submit activity plans for review and implementation.
  • Identify, build, and manage collaborative partnerships with governments and other stakeholders, specifically in the agricultural sector.
  • Proactively form relationships with implementing partners to complement Jobberman’s funding.
  • End to end event management.
  • Support the team in ensuring that the overall goal and objectives of YE are achieved.
  • Coordinate all physical and online training across regions.
  • Provide partners reports and feedback.
  • Develop and submit activity plans for the Youth Engagement (YE).
  • Develop new funder relationships.
  • Tailor soft skills training to the relevant demography (i.e Agricultural Sector)


Skills & Competencies

  • Relevant Experience in Similar Role will be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of youth or jobseeker attraction
  • Ability to create engaging and impactful instructional materials for diverse learner segments.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing events, both physical and online, with attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, bringing innovative ideas and measurable strategies to meet youth engagement objectives.
  • Digitally fluent – ability to host and coordinate online trainings and navigate various digitals tools to enhance participation.
  • Excellent communications and relational skills
