Job Description/Requirements

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Role Summary

The incumbent will work directly with the CEO as a personal driver.

The role requires time flexibility as the incumbent will drive the CEO daily including out- of-regular working hour periods. In the absence of the CEO, the incumbent will be assigned roles intermittently including driving other members of staff on official duties.

The role requires an experienced driver with good road network knowledge of Accra and other parts of Ghana. The incumbent should be prepared to drive on travels within Ghana and neighboring countries.

Accommodation around working premises may be catered for.

Education Level / Qualifications:

  • Secondary school certification. Candidate must have completed secondary school education. (Essential)

Other Certification

  • Valid Ghana driver’s license with no point on it
  • Driver must be bondable
  • No criminal record (Essential)
  • Must have a clean and commendable previous employers’ reference
  • At least five (5) years of driving experience with one (1) year of driving at least a director of a corporate organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive the CEO as his personal driver
  • Drive other members of staff as at when required
  • Maintenance of CEO’s car including servicing and cleaning
  • Monitoring car performance and ensuring tuning, servicing and repairs
  • Build relationship with and manage service providers for CEO’s car.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Good driving
  • Time management
  • Communication: Local Ghanaian language and English.
  • Resource Management: Ability to manage little resources for the car including cash.
  • Understanding of driving regulations in Ghana.

Incumbent Profile

  • A good fit for a mature person with relevant experience driving executive level officer.
  • Previous role or experience driving a CEO or director.
  • Flexibility of timing and availability to work round the clock when the CEO is in Ghana.
  • Presentable appearance and disposition.
  • Decent command of good spoken English language and local Ghanaian language.
  • A reserved personality with the ability to be confidential (Essential)
  • Ability to run small errands successfully and make little decisions (Essential)
