Job Summary

We are looking for a Director of Design and User Research to lead our design and user research teams in creating and implementing design strategies that meet solve for customer problems and business objectives. The Director of Design and User Research will be responsible for ensuring that the design and user research teams are operating efficiently and effectively. They will work closely with other departments such product management, engineering and marketing to ensure that the design and user research strategies align with the overall business strategy.

  • Minimum Qualification:Degree
  • Experience Level:Mid level
  • Experience Length:4 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and user research teams in creating and implementing design strategies that meet business objectives and user needs.
  • Ensure that the design and user research teams are operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Balances organizational needs with customer needs and creates a strategic plan for the organization.
  • Drives understanding of the use cases and needs relating to the organisation's products.
  • Thoroughly understands competitive products and strategy, and how they influence customer decisions.
  • Work closely with other departments such as sales and marketing to ensure that the design and user research strategies align with the overall business strategy.
  • Develop and maintain design and user research standards and guidelines.
  • Manage the design and user research budgets.
  • Hire and train design and user research staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations of design and user research staff.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design and user research trends and technologies.




Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, user research, or a related field.
  • Experience in design and user research.
  • Experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
