Job summary
A reputable company is seeking a polished, welcoming and service-driven Bilingual Host / Receptionist who is fluent in English and French. The role is responsible for creating an excellent first impression, managing reservations and guest flow, responding to enquiries and supporting a smooth guest experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Welcome guests warmly, confirm reservations and provide accurate information about Sandbox services, menus, events and operating procedures.
- Manage reservations, guest lists, seating coordination and guest flow in collaboration with the restaurant, bar, events and operations teams.
- Respond professionally to telephone, email, online and in-person enquiries in English and French.
- Support VIP arrivals, special occasions and event guests with discretion, attention to detail and timely communication.
- Handle guest concerns calmly, resolve routine issues within authority and escalate complex matters promptly.
- Maintain accurate reservation records, guest notes, enquiries and handover information.
- Coordinate with Food and Beverage, Security, Events, Housekeeping / Cleaning and other relevant teams to support seamless service delivery.
- Maintain a professional appearance, organised reception or host area and consistent brand standards throughout each shift.
- Gather guest feedback and communicate recurring service issues or improvement opportunities to management.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and French is mandatory; language proficiency may be assessed during recruitment.
- Previous experience as a host, receptionist, guest-relations representative, reservations agent or customer-service professional in hospitality is preferred.
- Diploma, HND or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Customer Service, Communications or a related field is an advantage.
- Strong telephone etiquette, interpersonal communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn reservation, point-of-sale or guest-management systems.
- Professional presentation, discretion, emotional intelligence and the ability to remain composed during busy service periods.
- Knowledge of Spanish or another international language is an advantage.

- The role requires prolonged periods of standing and regular evening, weekend and public-holiday shifts.
