Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Auto Workshop Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our automotive service center. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient workflow, top-quality service delivery, and strong customer satisfaction.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of all workshop staff, including auto mechanics, electricians, and technicians, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, job allocations, and workflow systems to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct technical inspections of vehicles before and after repairs to ensure quality workmanship, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and customer histories in accordance with company policy.
  • Oversee inventory management of spare parts, lubricants, and tools, ensuring proper use and timely replenishment.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting guidance to the team where complex mechanical or electrical issues arise.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations within the workshop.
  • Evaluate staff performance, identify training needs, and recommend professional development opportunities.
  • Liaise with clients to provide progress updates, technical advice, and cost estimates, maintaining excellent customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with the procurement and accounts departments to manage budgets, quotations, and cost control for workshop operations.
  • Generate weekly and monthly operational reports highlighting completed jobs, revenue, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Implement and uphold workshop quality standards, housekeeping policies, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Requirements: 

  • Minimum educational qualification: HND or higher.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in a similar role.
