Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of all workshop staff, including auto mechanics, electricians, and technicians, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, job allocations, and workflow systems to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Conduct technical inspections of vehicles before and after repairs to ensure quality workmanship, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and customer histories in accordance with company policy.
- Oversee inventory management of spare parts, lubricants, and tools, ensuring proper use and timely replenishment.
- Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting guidance to the team where complex mechanical or electrical issues arise.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations within the workshop.
- Evaluate staff performance, identify training needs, and recommend professional development opportunities.
- Liaise with clients to provide progress updates, technical advice, and cost estimates, maintaining excellent customer relationships.
- Collaborate with the procurement and accounts departments to manage budgets, quotations, and cost control for workshop operations.
- Generate weekly and monthly operational reports highlighting completed jobs, revenue, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
- Implement and uphold workshop quality standards, housekeeping policies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum educational qualification: HND or higher.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in a similar role.
