Job summary
The Housekeeper/Waiter/Waitress is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness throughout the premises while delivering excellent customer service to guests. The role involves cleaning rooms and common areas, handling laundry, replenishing supplies, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a safe, comfortable, and pleasant environment and dining experience for residents, guests, and staff. Housekeeper Responsiblities:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
- Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and other designated areas.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Make beds and change linens as required.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
- Wash, dry, iron, and fold clothing, linens, and towels.
- Sort laundry according to fabric type and washing instructions
- Maintain inventory of linens and housekeeping supplies.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages.
- Ensure housekeeping equipment is properly maintained and stored.
- Replenish toiletries and other supplies as required.
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly.
- Respond courteously to requests from residents, guests, or supervisors.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous housekeeping experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and products.
- Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong time-management skills.
Responsibilities (Waiter/Waitress):
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables when required.
- Present menus and explain menu items, specials, and promotions.
- Answer customer questions regarding ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.
- Handle customer requests and complaints professionally.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders.
- Communicate orders to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Check on guests during meals to ensure satisfaction.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently.
- Prepare and present bills to customers.
- Process payments accurately using cash, POS systems, or other payment methods.
- Balance cash receipts and report discrepancies when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Follow company policies and health regulations.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff, supervisors, and fellow servers to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Support colleagues during busy periods.
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills.

- Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
