French Teacher ( JHS)

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in French Education.
• Proven experience in teaching the French Language at the Upper primary and Junior High level.
• Excellent subject matter knowledge.
• Highly creative in advancing the use of French language for regular interactions in the school.
• Proficiency in modern educational technology and teaching pedagogy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning.
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
• Assess and record student progress and provide grades and feedback.
• Develop and construct standard test for learners’ assessment.
• Liaise with relevant French Language organisations/institutions to promote the use French language for regular daily interactions.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
• Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs, and student organizations.
• Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, supervisors regarding student progress and student needs.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
• Able to ignite learners’ interest in studying the French Language beyond the Junior High level.
• Able to motivate learners to study and perform high in achievement test relative to the subject.
• Able to develop strategic plan which prepare learners to excel in French at the BECE.
