Key Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, debone, and portion meat accurately according to set specifications.
- Safely operate knives, saws, and other meat-cutting tools.
- Ensure portion consistency to minimize waste and meet customer requirements.
- Inspect meat for quality, freshness, and compliance with hygiene standards.
- Weigh, label, and package processed meat appropriately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in line with food safety regulations.
- Assist with stock rotation and proper cold storage management.
- Report equipment faults, quality issues, or safety hazards to management promptly.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 4 years’ proven experience as a Butcher / Meat Cutter (preferred).
- Prior experience in a formal or semi-formal meat processing facility is an added advantage.
- Strong knife-handling and meat-cutting skills.
- Knowledge of various meat cuts (beef, goat, lamb, pork, poultry, etc.).
- Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
- High attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
