Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Tipper Truck Drivers based in Tema. The role involves safely operating tipper trucks to transport materials such as sand, gravel, and construction aggregates to and from designated sites. Responsibilities include conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring proper loading and unloading of materials, and adhering to scheduled routes and delivery timelines. Drivers are expected to follow all company policies, road safety rules, and DOT-related regulations, maintain accurate trip logs and delivery records, and report any mechanical issues or incidents promptly. The role also requires collaborating with site supervisors, loaders, and other team members to support efficient site operations and maintain a clean, well-kept vehicle.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess professional truck driving skills, including experience operating tipper trucks and handling heavy vehicles safely.
  • Candidates should possess a valid CDL Class A (or equivalent heavy-duty truck license) and a strong understanding of DOT regulations and road safety standards.
  • Candidates should possess skills in safe loading and unloading, including proper handling of bulk materials and adherence to weight and balance limits.
  • Candidates should possess practical knowledge of basic truck maintenance checks, such as monitoring fluids, tires, brakes, and reporting faults for timely repairs.
  • Previous experience in construction, mining, or logistics operations is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to read and follow delivery instructions, maintain accurate logs, and communicate clearly with dispatch and site teams.
  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and professionalism, with the ability to work extended hours or shifts when business needs require.
