Role Details
The Metallurgy Department seeks to employ an experienced and suitable individual for the position of Section Operator II.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing assigned tasks to achieve operational objectives through effective organization, coordination, and strict adherence to established controls in accordance with metallurgical standards and procedures.
About the role:

• Ensures all circuits are free from tripping hazards by cleaning material spills
• Assist maintenance crew in carrying out maintenance works
• Liaise with the supervisors to ensure timely reporting and execution of work
• Ensure area of operation is controlled in accordance with operational procedures
• Hands over any unsafe situation or hazards that are likely to obstruct production to the shift supervisor
• Proactive approach to overcome obstacles during shift using good judgment
• Maintain a safe and friendly working environment in compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 requirements
• Reports to the Supervisor on ways to improve safety, efficiency, performance, and production
• Ensure good housekeeping
  

About you:

• A minimum of a Senior High School Certificate
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of processing plants and tools
• Must anticipate, plan and react quickly & flexibly to changing circumstances
• Must have the ability to identify and rectify risks and hazards
• Must have strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal, written and listening skills
• Must be able to use initiative ideas, take responsibility and manage tasks through to completion
• A valid Ghanaian driver’s license and proficiency in driving light vehicles
