SAFETY OFFICER – HARDWARE FACTORY

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all workplace safety activities within the factory.
• Conduct regular safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Ensure employees comply with safety rules, procedures, and the proper use of PPE.
• Monitor the safe operation of machinery, equipment, electrical systems, and other factory activities.
• Support fire prevention, emergency preparedness, evacuation drills, and accident response.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare safety reports.
• Conduct safety training, toolbox meetings, and safety awareness programs for employees.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident reports, and other related documentation.
• Work closely with Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, and HR teams to resolve safety issues.
• Ensure the factory meets company safety standards and applicable occupational health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Safety Officer, or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing/factory environment.
• Good knowledge of workplace safety, hazard identification, risk assessment, and accident prevention.
• Experience in conducting safety inspections, employee training, and incident investigations.
• Ability to enforce safety rules and promote a strong safety culture.
• Good communication, observation, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Relevant certificate degree, diploma, or professional qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field is an advantage.
