Role Description

The Private Chef is a full-time, on-site role based in Accra, responsible for planning and preparing high-quality meals tailored to the household's preferences, dietary requirements, and lifestyle. The role involves designing varied menus, sourcing fresh ingredients, preparing and presenting meals, and maintaining the highest standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety.

The Private Chef will manage kitchen inventory, organize meal schedules, minimize food waste, and ensure the kitchen remains clean, well-stocked, and efficiently operated. The role also includes supporting family gatherings, special occasions, and private events while maintaining a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Strong culinary skills, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation, with experience in a variety of cuisines and dietary requirements.
• Sound knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and kitchen hygiene best practices.
• Ability to manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, ingredient purchasing, budgeting, and efficient time management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work respectfully within a private household while maintaining discretion and professionalism.
• Previous experience as a Private Chef, Executive Chef, or in a similar role within a private residence is highly desirable.
• Culinary school diploma or relevant professional certification is preferred, along with a valid food handling or food safety certification.
• High level of reliability, integrity, flexibility, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work on-site in Accra with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
