Job summary
A newly established multipurpose unisex fitness and gym facility yet to be opened, in Cantonments, Accra, is seeking dynamic, professional and results-oriented HR officer to join its team ahead of its official opening. You will be more than an HR administrator—you will be the culture keeper for a premium service team, ensuring that every member of our staff understands, embodies and delivers the standards that define our brand.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Recruit trainers, therapists, front desk personnel and wellness staff who align with our luxury service standards.
- Manage the complete recruitment and onboarding process.
- Ensure new team members are fully equipped to deliver the experience.
- Manage payroll, employment contracts, leave and benefits administration.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Ensure HR processes are administered in accordance with Ghanaian labor legislation.
- Lead employee onboarding and orientation programs.
- Coordinate customer service and service-excellence training.
- Promote and uphold service standards and culture across all departments.
- Foster a professional, respectful and high-performance workplace.
- Maintain all required staff records and documentation.
- Ensure relevant GHS/FDA compliance documentation is properly maintained.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of health and safety protocols.
- Ensure HR practices remain compliant with applicable Ghanaian regulations.
- Manage employee grievances and workplace concerns professionally and confidentially.
- Coordinate performance reviews and performance-management processes.
- Address staff-related member feedback and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Promote positive employee relations across the organization.
- Coordinate staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage across the gym, spa and IV lounge.
- Work closely with department heads to anticipate staffing requirements.
- Support efficient workforce planning around peak member periods and operational needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ HR experience, preferably within hospitality, wellness, fitness, luxury services or a premium customer-service environment.
- Strong working knowledge of the Ghana Labor Act and applicable employment practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- High level of confidentiality, discretion and professional integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS tools.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Must be presentable, polished and able to embody the brand standards.
