1. Company Description:

2. Job Purpose:
To lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs and systems, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors in our food and beverage manufacturing facility, by driving a culture of safety excellence, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting continuous improvement in safety performance, while protecting our people, products, and facilities.
3. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Policy & Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and programs, ensuring the organization adheres to all safety standards and relevant local regulations.
- Risk Management: Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards in work processes, machinery (e.g., installation, maintenance), and the overall environment. Recommend and implement preventive control measures.
- Incident Management: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes, prepare reports, and implement preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
- Training & Promotion of Safety Culture: Organize and deliver OHS and refresher training to educate employees on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and correct usage of safety equipment. Promote a proactive, safety-conscious culture within the workforce.
- Audits & Reporting: Perform internal and external safety audits, track incident metrics, analyze accident statistics to identify trends, and prepare regular reports (daily, weekly, monthly KPIs) for senior management and regulatory agencies.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, and coordinate drills and exercises to ensure preparedness.
- Contractor Management: Oversee external contractors and ensure their activities and installations comply with company safety standards and require the appropriate permits to work.
4. Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
