Job Description/Requirements

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Structure and organize the Sales and Distribution network so that necessary resources are allocated and organized to deliver outcomes.
  • Participate in the development and ongoing review of strategic plans providing your specialist expertise and industry knowledge.
  • Develop, execute, and drive the company’s strategic and tactical Sales and Distribution plans. These plans will be consistent with the overall business strategies. This includes the setting of explicit KPIs and objectives at both team and individual level.
  • Achieve a culture that is highly geared towards sales within the Integrity Selling framework and philosophy that results in retention and long-term relationships with customers.
  • Gather and share appropriate and relevant information in a timely manner to aid organizational decision- making.
  • Lead a high caliber team to achieve objectives and KPIs and share the vision and mission of the organization to ensure outputs are consistent with organizational strategy.
  • Coordinate and monitor financial and budget activities for maximum operational efficiency and utilize available budget to implement required initiatives within agreed levels.
  • Manage risks within Sales and Distribution accountability consistent with the company’s agreed risk profile and in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Develop and implement an effective integrated communications strategy for the company to increase brand awareness and recognition for the Company and its products.
  • Promote the positive perception of the company among its various publics and ensure strict adherence of all elements of the corporate signature and their consistent application on all platforms.
  • Cultivate and enhance collaborative working relationships within the press and publicity community to expand understanding of the company’s business and performance with a view to stimulating media coverage.
  • Develop content that helps build brand recognition, generate buzz about existing and new products and create content that both engages employees and keeps them informed about the business.
  • Coordinate and execute all company’s socials and marketing.
  • Support activities including POS Innovation Summits, Board meetings, Annual General Meetings, Press Conferences, End-of-Year Parties and Exhibitions.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of the company’s social responsibility objectives to positively impact the environment and community.
  • First point of call for Company enquiries. Responsible for setting up public appearances and keeping the public updated on vital company information.
  • Conceive strategies and initiatives to protect the company's reputation and maintain its positive public image, especially in emergencies.
  • Oversee the procurement of corporate gifts, promotional materials, and marketing collateral.
  • Preparing an annual budget for the unit.
  • Conduct customer satisfaction survey.
  • Prepare presentation for management meetings, board meetings and Annual General Meetings.


Skills/Competencies:

Experience and Qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in commerce, business, sales, marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A postgraduate qualification in a related discipline would be an advantage.
  • At least 10 to 15 years in a senior management role overseeing Sales and Distribution within the financial services industry.
