EDITOR

Responsibilities:

•        Writing of technically accurate but widely understandable feature articles, written in excellent English, on Ghana’s macro-economic performance; fiscal and monetary policy; industrial performance; agriculture; finance services; business support services; direct and portfolio investment; entrepreneurship; business management; business management and corporate governance; international economy, business, finance and investment.
•         Editing of in-house feature and news stories on the aforementioned issue
•         Selection and adaption of articles published on the internet on the aforementioned issues.

Educational qualifications:

•        Either  a degree in economics, finance or similar field of study or;
•         A degree or diploma in journalism from a reputable media training institution with specialization in economic/business/financial journalism.

Experience:

• At least three years experience in a senior editorial position in a reputable print media house or online news/feature portal  specializing in economic/business/financial reportage and analyses.
• Must have excellent written English skills and good numerical skills.
• The ability to interpret raw economic/financial data would be a key advantage.
• A track record of successful marketing for advertising in a print media publication or online portal is a distinct advantage.

The selected candidate would be required to execute these responsibilities for both our monthly magazine and for our daily updated online news/features portal.
