Station 21 is a casual dining restaurant located in the Spintex area of Accra. The restaurant operates a fast-casual kitchen style focused on freshly prepared meals, including grilled and fried foods, quick-service meals, and a selection of local and continental dishes. The kitchen is structured around a fast-paced service model with dedicated cooking and grill stations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and high-quality food delivery for both dine-in and takeaway customers.

Role Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Cook to join the Station 21 kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in a fast-paced, grill focused kitchen environment. The role involves working with grill and fry stations, ensuring food is prepared according to recipes and standards, and delivering high-quality meals quickly and consistently during service hours. 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to restaurant menu and recipes.
• Operate grill and fry stations (e.g., chicken, turkey, burgers, fries, and similar items).
• Ensure food is cooked to correct quality, taste, and presentation standards.
• Assist with food preparation (cutting, marinating, portioning, etc.).
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment and workstations
• Monitor cooking times to ensure quick service during peak hours
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
• Assist with stock control and report low ingredients or supplies
• Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations   

Requirements

• Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant, grill, or fast-food kitchen preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of food preparation, grilling, and frying techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in cooking.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and busy service hours.
• Team player with good communication skills
