About Nova Niche

Nova Niche LLC is a Ghanaian holding company with a growing portfolio of consumer brands across ecommerce, retail, and services. As our digital storefronts scale, their success depends entirely on high-quality product data, accurate categorization, and consistent visual presentation. We are looking for a detail-driven Catalog Specialist to own this function.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Catalog Specialist to lead the buildout and ongoing management of product catalogs across Nova Niche's ecommerce brands. You will be responsible for cataloging physical inventory, enriching product data, generating AI-powered product imagery and copy, and maintaining the highest standards of data integrity across our platforms. Quality is our top priority.

Compensation: GHS 2,000 – 3000/month, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities

Product Data Enrichment

Catalog physical inventory at our warehouse locations—recording product attributes, measurements, categories, and specifications

Enter product data into our inventory and ecommerce systems, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to our naming and SKU conventions

Accurately match, categorize, and tag products based on established taxonomy and project guidelines

Create new product entries when needed, ensuring completeness of all required fields before publishing

Maintain and update existing product listings as inventory changes

Content Production

Capture clear reference photographs of products for use in AI image generation

Use AI image generation tools (Gemini, Imagen, or similar) to produce product photography at scale, following established brand guidelines

Use AI text tools (Claude, GPT, or similar) to generate product descriptions following our brand voice templates

Evaluate and match product images to the correct listings, ensuring visual accuracy and consistency across all storefronts

Quality Assurance

Quality-check all data, images, and copy before publishing to ensure they strictly meet standards for accuracy, clarity, and relevance

Review and audit existing product content to identify and resolve data inconsistencies, duplicates, and gaps across our systems

Proactively identify, document, and flag edge cases, anomalies, or data errors within our product catalog

Provide structured feedback and suggestions to improve our overall tagging logic, taxonomy, and catalog workflows

Process & Documentation

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and style guides for catalog management, including naming conventions, image standards, and description formats

Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure product data supports campaigns and promotions

Train and support additional team members as the catalog function grows

Required Skills & Qualifications

HND or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Marketing, Library & Information Science, Statistics, or a related field. Candidates from other disciplines with relevant practical experience will also be considered

1–2 years of experience in data entry, inventory management, ecommerce operations, product tagging, content moderation, or a similar detail-oriented role (internships and freelance work count)

Strong proficiency with spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel)

Sharp attention to detail and a quality-first mindset

Demonstrable speed and accuracy with data entry and product categorization

Comfort working with digital content, specifically evaluating and matching product images

Ability to independently follow detailed guidelines and apply nuanced judgment to ambiguous product data

Good written English—strong enough to review and edit AI-generated product descriptions

Proactive communication skills

Ability to work on-site and visit warehouse locations in the Accra area

Nice to Have (Not Required)

Experience with Shopify (product creation, collections, variant management—admin-level)

Experience with Odoo or similar ERP/POS systems

Experience with any other ecommerce or inventory platform (WooCommerce, Jumia Seller Center, Loyverse, Zoho Inventory, or similar)

Familiarity with AI tools for image generation or text generation

Basic photography or smartphone product photography skills

Basic image editing (Canva, Photoshop, GIMP, or similar)

Experience with Airtable, Notion, or similar structured data tools

Background in Quality Assurance (QA), data labeling, or content moderation

What We Offer

Competitive salary with structured performance reviews at month 3, 6, and 12

Hands-on training with modern ecommerce and AI tools

A clear growth path into Catalog Manager or Operations Lead

A collaborative, small-team environment where your work directly impacts the business

Monthly learning budget for courses and tools
