Role Summary
We are seeking a versatile, experienced, and hands-on Bar Manager / Chef to oversee both bar and kitchen operations while ensuring exceptional customer service, quality food preparation, efficient inventory management, and smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong hospitality management skills, culinary expertise, leadership ability, and a passion for delivering an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day operations of both the bar and kitchen
• Prepare and supervise the production of meals and beverages to approved standards
• Ensure excellent customer service and overall guest satisfaction
• Supervise bartenders, kitchen assistants, and support staff where applicable
• Monitor stock levels, inventory, and supplier coordination for food and beverages
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and operational standards across all service areas
• Monitor operational costs and support profitability initiatives
• Train staff on service delivery, hygiene, and operational procedures
• Prepare operational and stock reports as required by management
Requirements
• Diploma or certification in Hospitality, Catering, Culinary Arts, or related field is an advantage
• Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in hospitality, food service, bar operations, or a similar role
• Strong culinary and beverage preparation knowledge
• Good leadership and team management skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Knowledge of food hygiene, inventory management, and operational procedures
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
• Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours where necessary
