Agri Commercial Services Ltd (ACSL) was founded in Feb. 2006 as a subsidiary company of Afrique Link Ltd (ALL) a tomato and mango processing company also with its plant in Wenchi. Currently, its main activity is the production of vegetables (tomato, chilli pepper and onions) for the fresh market.

Some of the high profile customers are SHOPRITE and EDEN TREE LTD.  The lower segment customers are mainly fresh market traders.

Production is mainly in Green House (tomato only) and open field (tomato and other crops). Mechanization is reasonable and it is company policy to mechanize and automate wherever feasible. Open field production is by drip irrigation.

ACSL is in collaboration with University of Ghana-WACCI and CSIR-Crops Research Institute to breed new good quality tomato varieties adapted to the Ghanaian environmental conditions.  These seeds will be sold to mainly smallholder farmers to produce for possible purchase for processing.

Immediate Future Plans

Construction of Irrigation facilities for in dry season farming, the addition of more greenhouses to produce year round. Scale-up own production and buy from third party independent farmers to feed the processing plant of ALL.

It is also targeted to enter the export market of chilli pepper, garden eggs (eggplant) and okra.

ACSL seeks additional staff who have knowledge in vegetable production and have reasonable experience to supervise and manage the implementation of the immediate future plans
