Warehouse Supervisor At Dkt International Ghana

Job Summary

• Stock management and inventory control
• Responsible for receiving and issuing of goods to and from all warehouse
• Keeping goods records on stock movement and reporting
  

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Help manage stock and inventory control
• Help manage commodity stock movement and stock status until sales to outside partners,
• Receiving incoming materials and routing to appropriate warehouse and entering necessary records
• Assist in daily warehouse activities including filling and posting store requisitions, and coordinating internal stock movement requirements
• Ensure inventory transactions are accurately logged into books
• Produce accurate monthly commodity stock reports
• Oversee cycle counts, stock checks and reconciliation with sales coordinator’s activities
• Manage relationships with warehousing partners
• Monitor light bills, water bills, fire service, insurance agents etc to ensure efficient and safety of goods, including compliance with systems and documentation during the clearing process
• Manage all internal and external warehouse workers; in partnership with Sales coordinators inventory at regional warehouses
• Maintain a high level of customer service for all relevant stakeholders
  

Other Duties

• Plan warehouse work operations in accordance with expected regional shipments, received shipments, store requests, check expiring dates, and stock rotation requirements
• Represent DKT with all partners including, but not limited to, customers, warehouse staff, auditors, etc., maintaining positive, professional relationships and image
• Cultivate a positive and innovative work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned by Logistics Manager
• Assure confidentiality in handling business related issues

Position Objectives

• To ensure efficient and effective warehouse / stores management of DKT Ghana commodities
• To ensure high quality handling, transporting, and storage of DKT Ghana commodities
• To ensure smooth distribution of DKT Ghana products throughout the supply chain with no out-of-stocks and no shrinkage
• To ensure timely reporting of commodity stock movement status

• Commodity management and reporting
• Efficiency of warehouse and distribution operations
• Commodity stock levels (availability) against sales plan and forecast
  

Qualification Required & Experience
Minimum Education

• A related Diploma and/or professional qualification in warehousing and stores management
  

Formal Training

• Warehousing and distribution management
• Must be at least a trained, licensed ‘A’ driver with accident free records
  

Work Experience

• At least 2-3 years related experience in the medical device industry or a supervisory capacity
• Track record of successful warehouse / stores management
• Experience with lean methodologies

Physical Requirement

• Ability to meet physical requirements including:
• A variety of standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day
• Repeated twisting while lifting and pulling stock from shelves
• Occasional climbing of ladders and vehicular vans
  

Relocation / Travelling

• Based on business needs, Warehouse Supervisor must be willing to relocate to any of the warehouse locations across the country
• Must be able to travel across the country for stocktaking
