An established inbound travel company with multiple offices throughout the region seeks to hire a qualified applicant for a management track position in its Accra location.

  • Minimum Qualification : Degree
  • Experience Level : Mid level
  • Experience Length : 3 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking to hire a candidate with strong leadership qualities and excellent customer service skills, understanding the importance of the customer life cycle in our organization.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and able to communicate with customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Capable of making recommendations suitable for unique client needs.


Requirements:

  • Successful work experience as a Travel Advisor/Tour Planner in an established travel company.
  • Build and develop tour itineraries for business and leisure.
  • Demonstrated efficiency in creating interesting tour programs and modify itineraries to suit clients' unique requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including  I.T.  and Marketing departments to enhance company objectives.
  • Stay current with the latest trends in tourism and travel management.
  • Update travel guides with pertinent information obtained through research of reviews.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with suppliers including hotels, resorts, airlines, ground transportation & MICE venues.
  • Proactively manage unforeseen challenges and complaints to determine the appropriate course of action.
  • Be proficient with geography and knowledge of Ghana and neighboring countries including Togo, Benin, and Cote D’Ivoire.
  • Exceptional knowledge of travel software (computer reservations systems and e-travel).
  • Be proficient in various areas of travel (domestic, international, business or leisure).
  • Ability to present, persuade, negotiate, and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrable ability to work under pressure including deadlines and timelines while maintaining a Professional demeanor.
  • Outstanding organizational, time management, and improvisational skills.
  • Proven history developing and maintaining business relationships and strategic partnerships.
  • Proficiency with computers, including writing programs, such as Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Compile and provide useful and competitive analysis to management.
