Transport Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the company’s transport and fleet operations.
• Plan and monitor daily vehicle schedules, routes, pickups, and deliveries
• Coordinate drivers and ensure timely execution of assigned trips.
• Monitor vehicle movements and ensure efficient utilization of the fleet.
• Track fuel consumption, mileage, vehicle usage, and maintenance costs.
• Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and have valid statutory documents.
• Monitor drivers’ compliance with road safety regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, and breakdowns.
• Liaise with clients, drivers, mechanics, and other service providers on transport-related matters.
• Prepare regular transport and fleet performance reports for management.
• Identify and implement measures to improve operational efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
• Respond promptly to transport-related challenges and ensure minimal disruption to logistics operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Transport Management and fleet Management.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in transport and fleet management.
• Must be a resident of Tema, its surrounding areas and willing to work in tema.
• Must be 36 years old and above.
• Good knowledge of transport and fleet management.
• Knowledge of route planning, dispatch operations, vehicle tracking, and delivery coordination.
• Ability to supervise and manage drivers effectively.
• Must be reliable, proactive, disciplined and results-oriented.
• A valid driver's license and practical driving experience will be an added advantage.
