Our client, a renowned logistics company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Transport 

Assistant to support their team in their operations.

Job Title: Transport Assistant

Location: Tema-Ghana

Job Summary: 

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting and overseeing assigned 

vehicles ensuring smooth load operations and maintaining high quality standards. 

Duties & Key Responsibilities:

 Coordinate the day-to-day operational activities of assigned drivers during load operations.

 Conduct regular check-ins, ride-along, and on-site monitoring to support safety, 

professionalism, and compliance with the Company’s SOPs.

 Coordinate and monitor load management activities for assigned trucks.

 Track assigned trucks to ensure compliance with Company procedures, safety regulations, 

and specific load requirements.

 Coordinate the activities of assigned 3P vehicles and drivers in line with the operational 

requirements of the Company.

 Maintain regular communication with assigned drivers and 3P partners, monitor 

performance, and escalate operational issues when necessary.

 Liaise with relevant Company team members to ensure effective coordination between 3P 

Partners and the Company.

 Support the recruitment and onboarding of 3P transport partners and drivers.

 Assist in identifying and recommending reliable and professional 3P partners who meet the 

Company’s operational standards.

 Provide basic training, guidance, and operational support to assigned drivers.

 Monitor relevant KPIs and provide feedback to drivers to support continuous improvement.

 Prepare regular reports and dashboards on the operational performance of assigned trucks.

 Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assigned trucks, drivers, and operational 

activities.

 Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualification:

 Candidate should have a degree in Logistics & Supply Chain or a related field.

 2–4 years of relevant experience in transport operations, logistics, fleet management, or a 

similar role within the transport industry.

 Strong knowledge of the Ghana transport industry, including familiarity with 3P dynamics, 

regulations, requirements, and route assessments.

 Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with 3P 

partners and drivers.

 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple vehicles 

simultaneously.

 Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

 Proficient in spoken and written English.

 Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

 Familiarity with Transport Management and tracking software.

 Must be able to travel within Ghana as required.
