Summary
We are seeking a highly-driven Strategy & Operations Lead to drive the next phase of
growth for our cryptocurrency wallet, OTC trading desk, and on/off-ramp solutions
across Ghana and the wider African market. This role requires a hands-on operator with
strong expertise in crypto products, liquidity management, compliance, and customer
experience. Overseeing daily operations, optimizing workflows, leading cross-functional
execution, and ensuring the seamless delivery of all crypto payment and settlement
services.
Duties
Operational Leadership
Oversee day-to-day operations across crypto wallets, OTC trading, settlements,
PSP integrations, liquidity management, and customer onboarding.
Manage the full lifecycle of on-ramp and off-ramp processes, ensuring fast,
secure, and compliant transactions.
Lead the implementation and optimization of operational workflows to improve
efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time.
Strategic Execution
Develop and execute strategic initiatives that support product growth, market
expansion, and operational scale across Africa.
Analyze business performance, product adoption, user behavior, and
operational risks to inform leadership decisions.
Identify opportunities to streamline services, enhance user experience, and drive
competitive advantage.
Compliance & Risk Management
Work with the compliance team to implement and maintain strong
KYC/KYB/AML processes.
Ensure regulatory alignment with local and international standards, including
reporting, monitoring, and transaction reviews.
Mitigate operational and liquidity risks through continuous controls and
monitoring.
Liquidity & Settlement Operations
Manage OTC desk operations, including pricing, liquidity sourcing, trade
operations, and settlements.
Oversee daily reconciliation and ensure accurate and timely settlement of all
crypto and fiat transactions.
Collaborate with financial partners, PSPs, and liquidity providers to maintain
healthy reserves and transaction flow.
Product & Customer Experience
Work closely with product managers and engineers to roll out new features,
resolve operational issues, and enhance product functionality.
Lead onboarding and lifecycle management for PSPs, institutional clients, and
retail customers.
Ensure an excellent user experience by improving support processes, turnaround
times, and communication flows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as the central bridge between product, compliance, engineering,
operations, customer support, and business development teams.
Develop detailed SOPs, dashboards, and reporting systems to support
operational transparency and team coordination.
Skills
Experience working with crypto exchanges, wallets, or blockchain-based
financial products.
Proven experience in OTC trading, liquidity operations, or settlements
management.
Strong expertise in fiat and crypto on/off ramp processes and PSP integrations.
Deep understanding of KYC, KYB, AML frameworks, compliance risks, and
customer due diligence.
Demonstrated success in scaling operations within fintech, payments, or
blockchain environments.
Ability to analyze data, solve complex operational problems, and make sound
strategic recommendations.
Strong project management, leadership, and documentation skills
Highly analytical, execution-focused, and resourceful.
Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment. Comfortable leading both strategy and day-to-day operations.
Strong communicator capable of coordinating across multiple teams and time
zones.
Passionate about crypto innovation, financial inclusion, and building in emerging
markets.
