Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record all food items, beverages, supplies, and other deliveries.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all stock movements are properly documented.
- Monitor stock levels and prepare regular reports on stock availability and replenishment needs.
- Issue supplies to the kitchen and other departments based on approved requisitions.
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and organisation of stock.
- Monitor expiry dates and apply the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principle to minimise spoilage and wastage.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
- Identify and report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, wastage, and potential losses.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and storage requirements.
- Liaise with the purchasing and accounting teams to support procurement planning and cost control.
Requirements
- Degree or HND in Stores Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is an advantage.
- Relevant experience in inventory and store management.
- Basic knowledge of stock control, inventory documentation, and stock reconciliation.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare basic stock reports.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software or Microsoft Excel is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation, and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to identify stock discrepancies and report issues promptly.
