About the Role
We are looking for a results-driven professional to lead sponsorship and fundraising efforts,
secure strategic partnerships, and drive funding for APN’s programmes and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sponsorship and fundraising strategies
- Identify and secure corporate sponsors, donors, and partners
- Lead proposal writing, including grants and funding applications
- Build and manage relationships with sponsors and institutions
- Organise fundraising events and engagement activities
- Track fundraising performance and report on outcomes
- Ensure sponsors receive agreed value and impact reporting
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in fundraising, sponsorship, or business development
- Proven ability to secure funding or close sponsorship deals
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience working with corporate or institutional partners
- Ability to develop proposals and fundraising strategies
Nice to Have
- Experience working with international organisations (UN, AfDB, etc.)
- Experience with grants and donor reporting
- Familiarity with fundraising tools or CRM systems
