The Role

We are looking for a passionate and interactive Special Needs Preschool Teacher to join our team. If you're a team player who enjoys working collaboratively, loves engaging young children, and is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and fun learning environment, we'd love to hear from you.

The ideal candidate is a university graduate with a passion for early childhood and special needs education, dedicated to helping every child reach their developmental milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage & Teach: Deliver interactive lessons and participate in indoor and outdoor activities, encouraging children to actively learn through play and movement.
• Support Development: Plan and implement learning activities that help each child achieve their developmental and educational goals.
• Monitor Progress: Observe, assess, and document each student's progress, providing regular updates to school management and parents.
• Partner with Families: Communicate regularly with parents to discuss progress and collaborate on strategies that support learning at home.
• Create a Safe Environment: Provide behavioural and social-emotional support while maintaining a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or a related field.
• Experience: Previous experience working with children with special needs is preferred.
• Mindset: A positive team player who is eager to learn, open to feedback, and committed to long-term professional growth.
• Personal Qualities: Patient, adaptable, compassionate, and passionate about supporting neurodivergent children.
• Physical Readiness: Comfortable participating in classroom, play-based, and occasional physical activities with young children.
• Location: Residing in or near West Legon is an advantage.
• Certification: Professional certification or licensure in Special Education is a plus.
